to back up your databases, you can do the following...

mysqldump -u [username] -p[root_password] [database_name] > dumpfilename.sql

for example I have a database with the following informations...

root username: James
root password: Aves
Database Name: aeisjean

and I want to save the copy as aeisjean.sql

you will do this...

mysqldump -u James -pAves aeisjean > aeisjean.sql

to restore just type
mysql -u [username] -p[root_password] [database_name] < dumpfilename.sql

Note: You can save your backup in your PC... By default, the backup will be on the root folder in your server...

well someone in the chat box requested for something like jack en poy..,
I tried to create one and I came up with this
Turbo C Bato Bato Pik
I added a little ascii graphics for design purposes :P

First you will select what you want to use

Then the computer will randomly choose what to use against you...
You will see the result as you press enter

Do you like it..? A little modification and imagination can improve this program...
I can't include the source code but I can give you a hint...
It is just a series of IF's
for the graphics, I used a function(if it receive 1 it will print stone)

I uploaded the .exe file for you to try...

The program can convert numbers up to 999,999,999.
I created this using a function, thus making the program shorter.

Well this is not true and my website is very safe.
I think SOMEONE inserted something in that website, and this is the proof...

And I know who might have done this...

Someone send a message to me in friendster asking me on how to defend a guessing game created using Turbo C. After giving her some advice, I decided to try to make something like her program using turbo c.

This is my own Turbo C Guessing Game

I added a clue, example "The number is between 9 and 127", take note the clue is also in random.
The mystery number is also in random and you are only allowed to guess 6 times.

Hello...
Do you want to create a program using PHP that acts like data sheet?
When I was in College, our professor told us to research about the different areas in Accreditation System. And so, we asked for some data in the library and in the accreditation office, we also conducted an interview with different colleges in our university.

While I was doing the research, I thought, why not put all the accreditation data of all the colleges in all of the areas in the internet so that research would be easy.

Now it is possible, introducing to you the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP).

For example you will select BSIT

You can view the data in every areas of concern, for example area 1

I also included search (by sub area) and also I added security so that the only one who can add and edit data in an area are the accreditors.

Based on my experience, after I created this project, I learned a lot about PHP, adding, editing, deleting or manipulating database (MYSQL).

Want to add background images to your USB..?

Here are the steps:

1. Put any image you want in your USB (example aeisjean.bmp)
2. Copy the following codes in notepad.

3. Save it as Desktop.ini
4. If you want to change the background image, just edit the this line

Yesterday, my mother told me that she needs 2 pcs 1x1 picture. So she went to a photographer shop and she was surprised when the photographer said it will cost her 60 pesos for 6 pcs 1x1.

Finding it very expensive, she went home and tell me what happened.

I said, "I will take your picture and I will edit it, we will print it in a nearby computer shop. Printing of 1x1 picture will only cost us P2.50 per piece.."

Do you want to change the icon of your USB? Here are the steps:

1. Search for any icon you want, for example sonic.ico. Save it to your USB drive.
2. Open notepad, type the following

How many of you in Cavite State University Main Campus knows where is the Coffee Microplantation Lab is? The CvSU main campus is a very large university, and without the aid of a map, it is so hard to explore the university. We already solve that problem.
Introducing iCvSU, the Interactive Cavite State University Map.

There are 3 areas here, the Navigation, Explorer and Magnifier. In Navigation are, use the arrow keys to control the map, or click the build in arrow in the application. Enjoy exploring Cavite State University.

Each building in the map including the grasses, rivers and trees, as well as the road was made using Photoshop.

I created the welcome form using flash that I embedded in VB, the Enter button is also made of Flash.

VB Randomize

Have you encountered a problem when it comes to randomization of numbers in Visual Basic?
For example you created a VB program that display 10 randomize numbers (1-10). When you run your program you thought it is working well. Example

However, the problem is when you run the program again, the program always output the same 10 random numbers as shown above. Every time you run your program, the random values are all the same. To solve this problem, try adding the code "Randomize" just after the form load. You only need to do this once. This way, each time you run your program, new random numbers are being generated. I hope it helps you in your VB programming...

Don't Trust Anyone

Don't trust anyone, especially when it comes to your memory card, usb drives, hard disk or any storage device. Even though you already reformat your storage devices or a virus deleted all your files or you intentionally deleted a file, there are still ways to recover all of that. Me too, I can recover some of your deleted files. So if you know that you have something private in your storage drive, even though you deleted it already, don't give it away to anybody, unless you trusted him/her a lot...

I know most of you have a USB drive, 1Gig, 2Gig or maybe 24Gig...
Wow that's pretty cool... However, when you open your USB drive it looks like this.

But look at my USB, i added some background images and if you will notice, the folders are different. Treat your USB's like a friend because they will help you a lot.

This is an example of an HTML, here you will see there is a background. This was my assignment when i was in College, we should create an HTML that will show information about us. So i decided to create something like a resume. Sounds cool isn't it?

Turbo C Games

When your professor ask you to make a project using Turbo c, let say a game, what is the first thing that come up to your mind?
Usually its either a guessing game where you will choose what number or letter will appear, or a board game like XOX.
Why not try something else..?
I have a project, a game using Turbo C when i was in my 2nd year in college. During that time the game O2 Jam was very popular, so i thought of a game like O2 Jam.

Introducing O2 James

Here you can choose of a level, the higher the level, the faster the letter will drop.

And this is the loading screen.

And here is the game, the letters will drop and you should hit from the keyboard the correct letter, you will see how many letters you hit correctly and how many miss.

Take note, the drawing of the stick figure there is not moving, hehehe. But every letter you hit corresponds to a sound. I'm just in my 2nd year here so the letters are not yet in random but I hope you like it.
